About Leisure Knoll
Leisure Knoll is a private, adult, 55 and over community located in Ridge, NY – a part of Brookhaven Township on Long Island.
Established in 1972, Leisure Knoll is a not for profit Home Owners Association with 701 single family ranch style homes, a recreation center, craft center, and outdoor facilities including a heated saltwater pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts and bocce courts. Leisure Knoll is filled with active, friendly residents – a true “Garden of Friendship.” Leisure Knoll is a planned urban development and is governed in accordance with the Declarations of Covenants, By Laws, Rules and Regulations, by a seven member Board of Directors elected by the Home Owners. The Board is assisted by an Administrative Office and Maintenance Staff. Each year the Board presents a budget for the following year’s operation expenses. This budget sets the monthly common charge fee which each owner is responsible to pay. This fee provides lawn maintenance, snow removal, basic family cable, basic internet, garbage removal, upkeep of all facilities and a bus service to local shopping areas. These are just a few of the amenities included in the common charges fee to keep the community beautiful and vibrant and impeccably maintained.
