What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a Seniorly representative for details.
Reviews of Wynscape Health and Rehabilitation Center are mixed but lean positive, particularly regarding rehabilitation and staff kindness. Many residents and families praise the nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams for being compassionate, attentive, professional, and effective. Several reviewers describe significant progress after surgery, falls, fractures, heart or respiratory conditions, and hospital stays, with successful transitions home or to assisted living. Staff members are frequently recognized by name for patience, responsiveness, communication, and going beyond expectations. Families also appreciate activities, therapy dogs, music, video calls during COVID-19, and support for dementia patients. Cleanliness is another recurring strength. Reviewers commonly describe the facility as spotless, welcoming, and well maintained, although some characterize the building and rooms as older, cramped, or in need of updating. Food opinions vary: some find meals enjoyable, while others report limited choices, poor taste, or meals arriving cold. Several critical reviews raise serious concerns about understaffing, delayed call-light responses, missed or delayed care, inadequate hygiene, oxygen or supply shortages, poor communication, and discharge planning. Some families report difficulty reaching staff or management and feeling ignored when raising concerns. One former employee describes poor management, inadequate support, and alleged neglect, while another reviewer mentions possible communication barriers. These complaints contrast sharply with numerous accounts of excellent care. Overall, Wynscape is viewed as a caring and effective rehabilitation center with strong therapy services and many dedicated employees, but experiences appear inconsistent. Prospective residents and families should ask detailed questions about staffing ratios, response times, nursing oversight, care plans, room arrangements, meals, communication procedures, and discharge support before making a decision.

My mom was bed-ridden and needed 24-hr care in her final months of hospice. The staff at Magnolia cared for her with a regular schedule and home-cooked meals that my mom got to choose. Manager Maryann, "Tiny," and Angie are among three of the caring angels whose names I can recall. Of all the tough decisions I and my siblings had to make during that time, the choice of Magnolia is one we do not regret.
