The Lorelton is praised for its caring staff, family-like atmosphere, and clean, well-maintained facilities. Many residents and their families appreciate the attentive care, variety of activities, and the sense of community. The large windows and historical building add to its charm. However, some reviews highlight serious concerns, particularly in the memory care unit, citing neglect, poor hygiene, and inadequate staffing. This place should be ashamed of the care they give their residents. I would never recommend the Lorelton to anyone with a family member who needs to be placed in a assisted living situation. Look somewhere else. My poor grandmother with severe Alzheimer’s was there recently for a short respite stay and the condition she was in when I picked her up was disgusting and appalling that any human being would have to live like that. My heart sank, I could not believe what I was seeing. I just can’t imagine what else she might have gone through especially not being able to speak up for herself. I filed a complaint at the Lorelton but haven’t heard anything since. I just can’t believe the amount of money we paid to have her there, that this is the type of care she received.
