The reviews for Aurora Garden Care in New Port Richey are mixed. Some reviewers praise the facility for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and variety of activities such as dancing, jewelry making, and bingo. The dining area is described as well-kept, and the food is generally considered good, though basic. Residents are offered choices for meals, and family members can bring in additional food items. The facility allows pets and provides private and common areas for residents. However, there are concerns about the lack of staff supervision during late shifts and the quality and variety of food, with some noting the absence of fresh fruits and vegetables. The facility is strictly for assisted living, which poses challenges for residents with dementia, as there are no security measures like ankle bracelets. Some reviewers express dissatisfaction with the management and care, citing issues like broken air conditioning and inadequate staff training. The facility requires residents to furnish their own rooms, and some feel the accommodations are not suitable for their loved ones' needs. Overall, while some find the facility affordable and caring, others are concerned about the level of care and management changes.

Aurora Gardens in New Port Richey has friendly staff who try to be helpful, but the home is poorly managed and often understaffed. The facility has gone through multiple directors in a short time, creating instability and poor oversight. The owner takes no accountability for ongoing issues, and communication with families is minimal. Our loved one often complained about the quality of the meals, which were neither healthy nor well-balanced. There are no consistent activities to keep residents engaged, and the facility has faced serious issues—including bed bugs and numerous complaints—leading ACHA to place a moratorium on new admissions. Check the ACHA website for inspection reports and violations since the current owner took over from Angels Senior Living in 2022. Residents deserve much better care and leadership.
