Elderville Assisted Living and Memory Care

My dad was in need of assisted living but was apprehensive about going. The administrator Sherry made me feel assured she would be able to help. After she visited him at the hospital and told him how nice the facility was and how well he would be taking of, he was happy to go. He has been there for over a month and never wants to leave. The staff has always been for helpful and patient. I cant thank them enough.

My mother-in-law is a current resident at Elderville Assisted Living. While many of the nurses and caregivers are kind, attentive, and professional, our family has had some troubling interactions with certain staff members. In particular, we’ve felt that the administrator, Sherry L., communicates in a way that comes across as intimidating or dismissive when my wife tries to discuss my mother-in-law’s care. We’re sharing this so other families can ask detailed questions about staff training and resident respect before making a decision. We truly appreciate the staff who treat residents with compassion, but management should address professionalism and resident dignity more consistently.

If I could give it a negative score I would!! The nurses are all great but an older woman named Sherry and another woman named Ryan "try" to be bullies. Sherry is the administrator and I'm not sure what Ryan is but I know they both HAD to lie on her resume or the owners do not care. Sherry worked at Manor Lake in Hiram and people said she was the same way there. Sherry is not a very caring person at all and neither is Ryan. Sherry screamed at me because she got upset that I spoke with my mom's hospice nurse about my mom's care. Something needs to be done! The nurses are awesome but the administrator, Sherry and Ryan need to be fired or they will lose a lot of good people.

Do not use this facility!!! Family is treated awful by the executive staff who plays a large role in their pathetic care. During a visit there no gloves were worn while doing capillary stick for glucose metering nor the insulin given after the reading was complete. HIPPA was violated. Told by the staff that my family member would never leave their facility. I have reported to the medical board and GA licensing commission and will continue to report until something is done. I will NOT rest. Do not let their newer appearance fool you. The care is substandard and the residents are talked to like garbage. I have videos and recordings of what I am posting. They should be shut down but if you care for your loved one this is NOT the place!
