The Phoenix at Union Hill receives mixed reviews from residents and their families. Many praise the facility for its beautiful, clean environment and the friendly, caring staff who often go above and beyond to ensure residents feel at home. The community offers a range of living options, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care, with various activities and amenities like a gym, arts and crafts, and social events. Some residents appreciate the spacious rooms and the sense of community fostered by the staff. However, there are significant concerns, particularly regarding the memory care unit. Some reviews highlight issues with understaffing, leading to neglect and safety concerns. The food quality is another common complaint, with reports of limited menu options and meals not meeting expectations. High staff turnover, especially in management and nursing positions, has also been noted, affecting the consistency of care and communication. While some families have had positive experiences, feeling supported and welcomed, others have faced challenges with administrative decisions and care quality. The facility's management has been criticized for not addressing issues promptly, such as medication management and maintenance problems. Despite these challenges, many residents and their families remain hopeful for improvements, especially with recent changes in staff and management. Overall, while The Phoenix at Union Hill has potential, it appears to be a work in progress, with room for improvement in certain areas.

Due to an unforeseen accident, we were in a bind to find the right place for a sweet couple in a short amount of time. I looked at the Phoenix on Monday, and due to the attentive staff helping me get everything done that needed to be done, we were able to move in on Friday. One of the to be residents was in the hospital and they were kind enough to go to the hospital to complete the assessment required. If searching for the right place, please give them a looik.
