To preface this; I own some group homes. It's a different demographic, but there's a lot of similar with care between what I do and what Parsons House does. I've also been in 'caring' professions for over 30 years. The first thing I noticed at Parsons House was how long people have worked there. The direct care staff turnover rate is low, and a lot of staff have worked there for a long time. THIS IS UNHEARD OF IN THIS FIELD. It's what I strive for in my own business, and it telling of a positive place to work, and greatly increases the quality of services due to the experience of the employees. My mom moved into Parsons House about a little over one year ago. The move was rocky. Her memory was pretty bad, and despite wanting to move, she kept forgetting. Parsons house was great with the move. They supported her, me and the rest of my family through this difficult time. Understandably, my mom did not want to lose her independence.
