If a prospective resident is a severe chronic pain management patient as I am, the admissions staff will probably not even consider you. It is highly unfortunate, and extremely prejudicial, that a person with managed Degenerative Disc Disease and Fibromyalgia, with a flawless record of medication responsibility is summarily denied admission solely for HAVING Musculoskeletal Pain. Myself and an LCSW advocate could hardly believe our senses hearing this from the 3 women at the Kensington. . . Not that it matters now, but they gave No reason, No critical thinking Rationale. My lumbar back region was badly injured 5 decades ago as I competed in D-1 NCAA college football.
