I care for and cook for an elderly woman who resides at Brookdale in Stanwood Washington. Although the facility is clean and pretty on the outside, the trouble on the inside is invisible. Food quality and menus are not conformed to the individual. My friend and client is 96 years old and has very specific needs, and guidelines that have been ordered by her doctors. I am checking with her every day to make sure she has food that she can eat. This isn't a new problem, as this person has been living in Brookdale for 2 years. Her family and I have talked to staff but the problem persists for some residents.
