Laurel View Village is owned and operated by Allegheny Christian Ministries, Inc., as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. We admit and provide services to all persons without regard to race, color, sex, religious belief, creed, national origin or physical or mental handicap. Residents must be 60 years of age or older. (Exceptions may be granted upon special request where certain physical disabilities exist.)
Our beautiful campus is the result of an initiative undertaken by several local Mennonite churches. We are governed by a board of volunteer trustees, which include representatives from area churches as well as Lee Initiatives, a Johnstown, PA – based provider of health related services.
We believe our local ownership and not-for-profit status give Laurel View Village an important distinction. Our primary goal is to provide the best possible service to our residents. We do not exist to pay out dividends to shareholders. We reinvest all of our resources into maintaining our property and providing outstanding services to our residents.
Laurel View Village is a member of LeadingAge, the national association representing nonprofit aging services and senior housing programs. We are also a member of LeadingAge PA, which is our state association of non-profit senior service providers.
