We loved Oakmont until they brought in Ace Homecare. Worst Homecare, if your loved one needs additional care to live at Oakmont you will want to re-evaluate. Once the director retired, things started to change, they have had trouble keeping an activities director. And some of the onsite activities they have required you to RSVP. (these are seniors) sadly they would not allow them to attend because they forgot to turn in their RSVP. I watched as they would not allow residents to enter the dining room at dinner for hot dogs for a so-called American day because they forgot. I found this very sad, that you would not want to include everyone. Working in a senior facility I would think you would want to promote all to attend and not to alienated anyone. They have a beautiful back patio that they make it very difficult for residents to use during the beautiful summer months. It's a beautiful facility, if they improve the care company and some other things, it would be amazing.
