Holiday Durham Regent receives mixed reviews, with many praising its friendly and accommodating staff, particularly the management team, which is noted for its professionalism and care. Residents and visitors appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, clean environment, and variety of activities offered, including artistic and social programs, physical therapy, and transportation services. The community is described as affordable and suitable for those seeking a supportive environment. However, some reviews highlight areas for improvement, such as outdated facilities, small apartment sizes, and inconsistent food quality, with complaints about salty meals and limited options. Maintenance issues, like broken elevators and delayed repairs, are also mentioned. Staffing shortages and high turnover rates, particularly in the kitchen and housekeeping, are concerns for some residents, affecting service quality. The community offers a range of amenities, including a gym, library, movie theater, and salon, but some feel the facilities could be updated. The outdoor spaces and walking trails are appreciated, though more green areas are desired. While many residents enjoy the social opportunities and feel safe, others express concerns about security and theft. Overall, Holiday Durham Regent is seen as a caring community with room for improvement in certain areas, making it a good option for those seeking a friendly and supportive environment, but not without its challenges.

We are paying for amenities that are not being provided. 1. Housekeeping is rarely done and the quality of the work is barely adequate. 2. Laundry accommodations very poor. Broken washers and dryers on each floor needing repair. 3. No maintenance person!! 4. Meals have gone down hill since I have been here and inadequate staff to serve meals. Routinely takes an hour to be served because short of help. The community feel is great and I love the size of the studio apartment. If these long standing deficiencies are attended to This would be good living choice. Otherwise many people are looking for a new home.
