What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a Seniorly representative for details.
Sugar Creek and The Arbors at Sugar Creek receive mostly positive reviews for their clean, attractive, home-like environment and caring staff. Families frequently praise the friendly, attentive employees, personalized care, and strong relationships between staff and residents. Several reviewers appreciated the smaller, intimate setting, which allows residents to receive more individual attention and know one another. Rooms are described as spacious, comfortable, well-maintained, and senior-friendly, often featuring private bathrooms, kitchenettes, closets, and accessible layouts. The grounds, gardens, walking paths, theater, salon, common areas, and dining spaces were also well regarded. Activities are a major strength. Residents can participate in crafts, gardening, reading, brain games, cards, entertainment, music performances, religious services, outings, and holiday events. Multiple reviewers specifically commended the activity director for keeping residents engaged. The food is generally considered good to excellent, with a chef, made-to-order breakfasts, varied menus, and flexibility when residents dislike a meal. Families also valued the available assisted living and memory care services, including on-site medical support and around-the-clock assistance. Several reviewers expressed deep gratitude for the care provided, especially during end-of-life situations, and strongly recommended the community. However, experiences were not uniformly positive. Some reviewers reported staffing shortages, turnover, canceled activities, disorganization, communication difficulties, and management instability. One tour visitor found the memory care area chaotic and lacked confidence in the activities program. Another family reported serious concerns involving alleged abuse during COVID, although this was an individual account. The community is also described as expensive, and some families felt the admissions process and answers about services were slow or unclear. Overall, Sugar Creek is widely viewed as high-quality, caring, and comfortable, with staffing consistency and organization as the primary concerns.

They have put together a foundation and practices to make any family feel great about leaving their loved one in the care of this family. This is the 2nd generation of family members that for years have been providing phenomenal care to families across the Bay Area specifically in the San Mateo and Sacramento Area. This Brother and Sister Team know what they are doing and also know how to build solid teams that follow plans and practices. The communities are well maintained.
