Our family has been so impressed with Aspens at Fort Collins. They cared for our mom for only 4 short weeks and then she passed away, her health failing more than we knew. The fact that Aspens focuses on Memory Care, gave us the confidence that they would be able to care for her. They worked with us to move her from Omaha, guiding us with what would be best for her. Once she moved in, she wasn't sure where she was and let everyone know that she was not happy. They understood and worked with what she needed. One lesson I would share for the best care for a dementia patient, is that if there is discussion of hospice being a good resource, take action sooner than later. We ended up in the hospital twice in one day (Mom was scared, frustrated, and angry.) Had we arranged for hospice sooner, the hospice nurse would have seen her at Aspens. We would not have had that stressful encounter at the hospital. I highly recommend Aspens and Bristol Hospice. May you be blessed in your journey.
