The Birches at Concord is highly praised for its exceptional memory care services, cleanliness, and compassionate staff. Many reviewers commend the facility for its proactive measures during the pandemic, ensuring no resident positive cases, and maintaining open communication with families through bi-weekly updates. The staff is frequently described as caring, attentive, and dedicated, contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment. Residents reportedly enjoy a variety of activities, outings, and quality meals tailored to their needs. The facility's design and amenities, such as private rooms, spacious areas, and a salon, are appreciated, though some note the memory care unit is smaller. However, parking is a common concern due to limited space. While the cost is considered high, many believe the value justifies the expense, especially compared to in-home care. A few reviews mention issues with administrative responsiveness and staffing adequacy, particularly in handling mobility and end-of-life care. Overall, The Birches is recommended for its specialized care for individuals with cognitive issues, providing peace of mind to families.

My dad lived at the Birches for 3 years. He was very well cared for, made lots of friends and stayed active as long as he could. They even accommodated us bringing in his exercise bike into the activity room so he could maintain his fitness. The food was so good he gained 10lbs for the first time in his life! He recently passed away, and the VNA staff that came in treated him with the utmost care and compassion. I only rated 4/5 because the cost and lack of seat alarms which could have possibly prevented some of his falls.
