The reviews for Symphony at Mentor present a mixed picture of the facility. Many reviewers praise the community for its warm, family-like atmosphere and commend the staff for their dedication, compassion, and professionalism, particularly in memory care. Positive feedback highlights the clean environment, engaging activities, and the staff's genuine care for residents, which provides peace of mind to families. Several reviewers mention specific staff members who have made a positive impact, and some appreciate the facility's response to COVID-19. However, there are significant criticisms as well. Some reviewers report issues with staff turnover, inadequate communication, and neglect in resident care, such as infrequent showers and unchanged bedding. Concerns about security, missing personal items, and inadequate staffing levels are also mentioned. A few reviews describe negative experiences with management changes and express dissatisfaction with the facility's handling of dementia patients, including allegations of neglect and mistreatment. Some reviewers advise against choosing Symphony at Mentor due to these issues, despite its lower cost compared to other facilities. Overall, while many families have had positive experiences and feel their loved ones are well cared for, others have encountered serious problems that have led them to remove their relatives from the facility. The reviews suggest that while Symphony at Mentor has strengths in its community feel and some dedicated staff, there are areas that require improvement, particularly in consistency of care and communication.

We are very impressed with my mother's care at Symphony at Mentor. She has been in other facilities with inadequate caregiving and poor attention to the residents' environment. At Symphony, dedicated staff members are vested in providing care, ensuring a holistic approach to caregiving, activities, environment, and dining. There are food options for all meals, and the quality is exceptional. We feel blessed to have selected this facility for her care.
