Elms Of Cranbury

Upon my dad’s arrivall from the hospital his transport service with him in a transfer bed could not get into the facility at 9:00pm. They were banging on the windows and doors for 15 minutes. No one was answering the door or phones as he was exposed to cold temperatures!! He was transferred there for rehab which only lasted 1 1/2 days. His oxygen tank wasn’t working properly upon his arrival to the facility.; oxygen fell sharply as family had not left his side upon arrival. 911 had to be called to get him out of that facility and back in the hospital. Thankfully this saved his life ; the facility was negligent for his care. He was left in a bed that was a foot too short for him. He couldn’t use the bed so they brought an old recliner from the basement for him to sleep in. Not acceptable!! The place is filthy with no care at all. Dementia patients roaming the halls all day. It should be shut down by the state before they have more liability issues! A families nightmare….

Your loved one will need a strong advocate if you're planning on placing your family member at The Elms of Cranbury. My sister and I take turns assisting with my mother's care, so at least my mother has a visitor every day for a couple of hours. Sunday, (1/7/24) It wasn't my day to assist with mom, but I was in the area and I wanted to see her. Mom is 88 years old, she cannot walk. She also has dementia, so she needs assistance with everything. I arrived at the Elms at about 2:45pm and her lunch tray was sitting in her room untouched. Her aide sat the lunch tray where it was unreachable and never returned to the room to assist my mother with eating. That day my mother did not eat lunch and was not offered water or anything to drink. My mother was left to sit in her urine that afternoon. It's not the first time my mother was not feed a meal. I would like to be able to TRUST that my mother will be fed if I don't show up, but it so hard.
