Care One At Hanover Township

Since the new management team took over in January of 2024 an already short staffed and unmotivated staff took a sharp turn for the worse. The 1st floor where my mother lived for 18 months with dementia smelled of urine, lost her clothes and had horrific communication. The social worker and admin would only respond if they had a complaint when my mom was acting as if she had Alzheimer’s. Wow, she does! I was told when she moved in they were trained in dealing with this. My mom would go over a month without showering until I flew up to see her. Most recently I was told I had to shower her, the staff was busy, then I was called by the head nurse to quiz me on how I showered her. The staff would say they called and left a message and I had no message and no missed call. One CNA was a frequent liar as was the new head nurse and director. There were one or two nice nurses but overall I am so relieved my mom is not living here any longer. These are not good people running this place.
