Pelican in service for 70 years & the building certainly looks it! On website it states - "exceptional safe & quality services; Intense medical & rehab care" = NOT AT ALL! My sister came from UNC Hospital for more rehab and wound care, she was left in the bed for two weeks and got very little wound care. First week - no name on her door and no TV in her room! She had no AC for two days and the vent was broken! Her foley catheter was not changed after 30 days. There was not a Social Worker available and the Administrator had been there for only two weeks. Her son literally picked her up and put her in his truck and took her to Duke Hospital. She was in severe sepsis, had blood clots in her legs and lungs, and had pneumonia. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!
