Carlyle Senior Care of Fork

I'm being generous with one star. When the nurses aren't running around trying to take care of their normal duties, I know and understand that they are overworked and understaffed and give the best care that is possible. As for the workings of this place, it's next to impossible to get anyone on the phone if you need to speak to someone in the office or a nurse on the floor. I have literally rung the main and only number for 20 minutes with no one picking up, and if they do, and transfer you to a hallway, you're lucky if it is answered at all. Forget about voicemail,, if for some reason the voicemail kicks in and picks up don't bother leaving a message, as no one checks it or bothers to call you back anyway. This "facility," is old and outdated and in need of a complete overhaul, starting with some of the Admissions Administrator who can't be bothered to respond to an email, or phone call, let alone the social worker understand about how to properly and completely fill out requested medical forms that must be completed, and should have been completed months ago for transfer papers, (but could not open the attachment, so why bother saying anything for 4 months!!!!! 🤬 4 months for an application, which wasn't done then, and now recently that same paperwork is still not yet complete. Such incompetency is inexcusable, the lack of caring holding up necessary processes that should have been properly completed weeks ago now holding back a transfer due to their incompetence and neglect, and the inability to meet a deadline. The family member was sent here for physical therapy. Let's just say it didn't happen and leave it at that. He's in much worse shape now physically, then six months ago. This is the second Carlyle facility, and God willing, the last If I was a millionaire, they would be wiped off the face of the earth and replaced with state of the art facilities with triple the staff who are able to respond to call lights within minutes, not 20, 30 plus minutes later. Speaking of call buttons, during this weeks visit, the call button was 6 feet away on the other side of a dresser, wrapped up around and underneath a garbage can! I PHYSICALLY had to rip it out from underneath the entangled mess to get it free!!! 🤬 I also do not appreciate having the phone constantly disconnected because they didn't want to pick up the phone, and I left a message for a call back from a specific nurse before she left for the weekend, I spent 2 hours last night trying to reach that nurse before she left. No call back no nothing. Run from this place!!! FAIL!!! #SCDhec
