I was representing my 93-year-old mother-in-law who has some very special needs (diabetic & recent lower leg amputee) to match her up with a SNF that could provide her with the needed care. After several months of applying, on our own, for acceptance at several top notch Sonoma County SNFs and being rejected for no apparent reasons, in some cases, and a shortage of capable, qualified nursing staff in others, I reached out to Don Ross for help. He was able to grasp the severity of the situation, understand the care needs that had to be addressed and translate those considerations into a viable, actionable recommended senior care facility that could not only provide the needed services but that could do so in a way that embraces the delivery of those services. Per Don's recomendation, I completed a telephone screening interview of the staff followed by an in-person visit. While I must admit that I personally found the outdated drabness and overall palor of SV's physical plant to be depressing and offputting, this objection was significantly outweighed by SV's track record of exemplary care, 1st-rate food and outstanding supporting social services. Most important, after evaluating, in-person, my mother-in-law's overall health status and care needs, SV was able to accept her for care a few days prior to the 2022 4th-of-July holiday. ironically, my mother-in-law moved into SV today (7/5/22). The fact that she called me at 4pm to thank me for matching her up with SV is a testament to Don's knowledge, skill and experience in this arena. Don --- not only made me look good --- but also provided peace of mind to family members and friends regarding my mother-in-law's day-to-day well being. As a result, I would recommend Don without qualification to anyone needing advice and guidance in finding a SNF in the North Bay for a loved one or family member.
