What families are saying

We’ve gathered and summarized real family reviews from across the internet for you. Contact a Seniorly representative for details.
The reviews of this Fullerton board-and-care facility are overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing its attractive, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood, competitive pricing, and warm, family-oriented atmosphere. Multiple families praise owner Faye and the caregivers as professional, friendly, loving, and conscientious. Reviewers consistently report that their loved ones were kept clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and that families were welcomed and kept informed. Several appreciated the facility’s personal attention, willingness to accommodate residents’ preferences, quality food, medical support, and the presence of a registered nurse. The family-run environment reportedly made a difficult caregiving experience easier, and several reviewers strongly recommend the facility. However, two reviews describe a significantly negative experience involving the same resident, an invalid husband with ALS. The family selected the facility despite its high cost because they believed it could support his needs, including a G-tube and independence with daily activities. The resident was asked to leave after approximately six hours because he became upset and yelled when staff assisted him, allegedly disturbing other residents. The facility reportedly offered readmission only if he received medication and paid a substantially higher monthly rate. The family disputes the facility’s refund practices, stating that most of the $9,000 payment was retained, including approximately $3,500 designated for hospice services that were allegedly never provided. They claim the contract did not clearly explain the refund or eviction terms and reported the matter to state authorities and the Ombudsman, including concerns about licensing for G-tube care. Overall, the reviews portray exceptional compassionate care for many residents but raise serious concerns about contract transparency, discharge procedures, fees, and handling of complex medical or behavioral needs.

I would give Margaret's Care Home 10 stars if I could. My dad was only in the facility for 10 months but I was thankful everyday for his placement there. He was totally bedbound and unable to do anything for himself. My husband and I were only able to see Dad twice while he was there but we received photos of him pretty regularly and Margaret made sure we knew what was going on at all times. My dad was always clean and well fed. He loved to eat! The facility was clean and homey. It was a pleasure to walk into the home. The staff was always friendly and seemed to really care about their boarders. I call it a facility but it was really a home and felt like it. We would recommend Margaret's Care Home to anyone in the Stanislaus County area. Sincerely, Linda & Bob from Powell, Wyoming
