The reviews for Marquis Piedmont present a mixed picture, highlighting both positive and negative experiences. Many reviewers praise the staff for their dedication, friendliness, and professionalism, noting that they go above and beyond for residents. The facility is described as clean, recently remodeled, and situated in a pleasant neighborhood. The food generally receives positive remarks, with some describing it as unexpectedly good. Activities like card games and outings are appreciated, and the dining area is well-regarded. However, there are significant concerns raised by some reviewers. Issues such as missing personal items, like cash and shoes, have been reported, with promises of resolution yet to be fulfilled. Some reviewers criticize the staff for being lazy, unresponsive, or uncaring, with specific complaints about neglect in personal care and hygiene. The library's book selection is described as inadequate, and offers to donate books were reportedly dismissed coldly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions on family visits were a source of distress, though some appreciated the staff's empathy during difficult times. The facility's infrastructure is noted as needing updates, with shared rooms sometimes being uncomfortable due to noise and temperature issues. While some reviewers had excellent rehabilitation experiences, others found the staff's care to be merely adequate, lacking genuine compassion. Overall, while many find Marquis Piedmont to be a supportive and caring environment, others have encountered significant challenges that impact their perception of the facility.

Inattentive oblivious staff. I asked for my packages which were delivered to the mailroom which fell on deaf ears. I was paired with a roommate opposite of me (he likes heat and is nocturnal and I like cold and sleep normal hours.... ) They do not respect thier own so-called values in regards to personalized care. 2 days later I have yet to have one-on-one time with staff in regards to my preferences ‐ hence being paired with an annoying roommate that adds to my misery here whom was sprung on me last-minute. The CNAs are awkward without much of a bedside manner, the food is atrocious reheated microwave meals, the place isn't a happy place to be whatsoever. Also beware! This location is in NW Portland a known cess pool of the city. The "nurses" are glorified pill pushers who do not even describe the medication as it's administered which is standard protocol. If I can get my damned packages I will ammend my review accourdingly.
