The room she was moved into was dirty and disgusting (black floors, crumbs everywhere, cockroaches), the ac barely worked, the door didn't lock for several days and when my mom asked any questions, they would call me and tell me she needed to pay more (she was independent living) because she wasn't paying for this much help (she was asking how to get to the dining area, what events were occurring, etc.). The activities were horrible, several residents told us about how rude people were to them in assisted living and how they weren't allowed to dine with others and my mom went 3 days without food due to them not understanding that she was in independent living and not assisted living. I have visited the Palazzo several time and every time I walk in the front is always clean. The reception I receive is very welcoming and it always has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their job and I can tell they have pride in what services they are providing for their clients and staff.
