Jennings Assisted Living

Jennings Assisted Living is part of the Jennings Center for Older Adults. The assisted living community is located at 10204 Granger Road, in the Garfield area, just south of Cleveland. The center was founded in the early 40s after the death of Monsignor Gilbert P. Jennings. He bequeathed a large sum of money to build the senior center. The facility has assisted living, senior apartment, a long-term care facility, adult day care and Alzheimer’s/memory care. Assisted living residents can choose from private and two-bedroom suites with kitchenettes and a bathroom with a step-in shower. Electricity, gas and water are covered and the units have hookups if the resident needs phone service. Cable TV and internet are also provided. Three meals are served restaurant style each day. Residents also have access to snacks. Social and recreational activities take place each week. The center provides group transportation for outings. Residents in the long-term care facility live in private suites with a studio-type layout. While bathing and meal services are provided, residents may choose their own time for these services. The facility is surrounded by a secure garden that residents can visit when they want. The building has three floors with “neighborhoods” created depending on the type of care needed.
