The McGregor

The nonprofit A. M. McGregor Home is an independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospice services and respite community located on a 32-acre historic estate in Cleveland, Ohio. This community is particularly appealing to active and social seniors who want to age in place in a homelike environment while being close to a bustling downtown and all it offers. The independent living community offers one bedroom and two bedroom apartments with all the comforts of home. Also available are federally subsidized suites for seniors age 62 and older. The assisted living community offers a choice of one bedroom apartments, some with a den or larger kitchen or living room areas. Amenities include utilities, weekly housekeeping and personal laundry, three restaurant style meals, daily trash removal and scheduled activities, programs and events. Residents receive health and wellness services and assistance from a personal care team. The rehabilitation and long-term nursing care communities are all-inclusive and offer private rooms with a garden or campus view that residents can furnish themselves. A team of medical and health professionals provides the specialized services that residents require. Hospice services are provided wherever the person resides, whether in the community or a private home. The respite care community offers fully furnished private vacation suites with all the amenities of the assisted living community. Residents can participate in a variety of life enrichment activities, from art and pottery classes to gardening clubs. Community outings and themed parties round out the calendar of activities. Volunteer opportunities and community outreach activities are also available. The community’s campus offers picturesque views of Lake Erie and the grounds feature walkout gardens, walking paths and a courtyard. On the premises are a fitness center, library, drawing room, mail center, a main dining room, and activity and sitting areas.
