In all honesty these people really try but to call it “independent living” is a stretch. Most residents are VERY old with mobility issues. I tried so hard (as did they) not to feel like I was living in a nursing home. With costs of assisted living being much higher families keep their loved ones here even when they need a higher level of care. I saw people come in without walkers but would quickly start using them. It accelerates aging. But yes they met my needs the food was good and I made friends there. I will cheerfully return when the “time comes” but thankfully I am not there yet

It’s ok. While some people that live there are warm and welcoming God forbid you cross some of them! And while some management deserves highest praise others can be bullying. I got the feeling I was watched more than I wanted to be. Be aware also that this is an older group of seniors and most have walkers or wheelchairs - and even those that get along well when they move in seem to quickly need assistance. Some residents are warm and welcoming and pure joy to be around. The marketing manager Matt truly has a huge heart. Prices are fair and a good value for what is offered. Independent living? Kind of a stretch on this one. But I won’t rule it out.
