What families are saying

Heritage Oaks is generally well-regarded for its friendly and caring staff, clean facilities, and a variety of activities for residents. Many reviewers appreciate the sense of community, with residents looking out for each other and staff members like Connie Pryor receiving special praise for their helpfulness. The facility offers three meals a day, housekeeping, and various amenities such as a library, gym, and transportation services. The location is convenient, being close to shopping areas and a hospital. However, some reviews highlight concerns, particularly regarding the dining services. Complaints include cold or burnt food, slow service, and staffing issues in the dining area. There are also mentions of bed bug problems and dissatisfaction with the emergency button subscription not being clearly communicated. Some reviewers feel the facility is not suitable for those needing assisted living due to limited medical support. The pricing is considered reasonable compared to other facilities, though some find it expensive. The apartments are described as spacious and well-maintained, but the building is older. The community is noted for its diversity and welcoming atmosphere, making it a good fit for veterans and working-class seniors. Overall, Heritage Oaks is recommended for independent living, offering good value for money, but may not be ideal for those requiring more intensive care or assistance.

This is not independent living. My mother pays $3000.00 a month, which they say $1,800.00 goes to meals. Some people pay $900.00. Am I paying $900.00 for their food. No repairs get done. Work order done. One year later no repair.

Couldn't ask for a better place for my dad. The staff is outstanding, and it's close location to St. Joseph's Hospital which was a big deciding factor for me. It is the perfect environment for restful recuperation in a family-like atmosphere. Highly recommended!
