Prestige Care

Founded in 1985 and boasting a 40 year history of experience, Prestige Care traces its roots back to the 1940s. Sarah Delamarter, a pioneer in Oregon's long-term care industry, began caring for seniors in her home. Today, her grandsons, Harold and Dr. Rick Delamarter, along with their business partner Greg Vislocky, own Prestige and have expanded the business throughout the Western United States. With 43 communities, Prestige remains a family company dedicated to providing compassionate care and offering a complete senior care organization that includes independent living communities, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation centers.

Residents at Prestige communities are considered valued members of their family, and the company's philosophy of caring is based on core values that are at the heart of all they do. Prestige runs industry-leading wellness programs that promote health and longevity, allowing residents to enjoy life at every age. The company is committed to diversity, with many women serving on the Executive Leadership Team across various departments, and has a strong promote-from-within culture, ensuring the continuation of Sarah Delamarter's mission to provide compassionate care for seniors.

Amen to the food issue! My mother lives here and the food service, all around, is a BIG problem. It's definitely the most negative aspect of her experience - hard to take when they just raised the rent! They seem to have high turnover in waitstaff, so are often shorthanded; sometimes it takes 30+ minutes of sitting there before their food actually comes to the table. They sometimes are "out" of the most basic things, like eggs or salad dressing! I would say that the problem is in the kitchen management, because the waitstaff are typically really good, caring people and seem to be trying their best in a tough situation. On a more positive note, the nurses, med-techs and aides at Bridgewood are REALLY great. They are positive and supportive, they KNOW the residents, they are prompt in responding, and they truly seem to care. The programming is good, with lots of opportunities for exercise and brain "games", sometimes outings and live music, and community events.
