The reviews for The Blake on PCB, a senior living facility established in 2021, present a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise the facility for its beautiful building, vibrant community, and caring staff. The Activities Director, Carolyn, receives commendations for her dedication and successful event planning, such as the Senior Ball and a 100th birthday party. The Executive Director, Aleashia Wood, is noted for her empathy and attentiveness, while Lindsey is appreciated for her informative tours. Positive reviews highlight the facility's welcoming atmosphere, good food, and attentive care, with some families expressing peace of mind knowing their loved ones are well cared for. However, there are significant criticisms, particularly regarding the Memory Care unit, which some feel lacks adequate safety measures and attention, allegedly contributing to a resident's passing. Other negative reviews mention issues with food quality, inappropriate resident placement, and poor staff treatment by management. One reviewer describes the facility as "evil," citing personal experiences of neglect and mistreatment. Another criticizes the executive director for being prejudiced and treating staff poorly. Overall, while many find The Blake a wonderful place for residents and staff, others have had distressing experiences, particularly concerning care quality and management practices.

I absolutely love The Blake! My Mom moved into one of the smaller rooms - I think it is just under 400 sq feet so the hardest part about the move was just the downsizing. After that it's been smooth sailing. The staff are amazing and they're always checking in on my Mom. It was only like a week or so until we would walk the hallways and many of them already knew her by name. The food is great so if you are touring, I would definitely recommend making a reservation so you can try it for yourself.
