Smyrna Village is an assisted living and memory care community located in the city of Smyrna, Georgia. The Gardens have worked out very well for my Mom! She was previously in a very small facility which required her to interact with the other ladies almost all day long. It was difficult for my Mom since she has lived by herself for most of the last 5 years. The director, Sherry, and the manager, Yvie, have been most helpful in getting her settled in. They even had her room furnished and decorated when we brought my Mom, which was a nice touch. Mom has mentioned a few times how the other ladies, meaning caregiving staff, have been very sweet to her and she likes them. The only compliant we have heard form Mom is she wished the food was a little better, but Mom has become a pretty picky eater in her later years! We are very pleased with the way Mom transitioned into the Gardens. Please be aware that some of the other reviews you are reading are prior to a new management taking over the Gardens in early 2018. They have already dressed up the grounds and have started remodeling the inside of the building. It is certainly worth your visiting and seeing for yourself and meet the staff.
