Five Star Senior Living

With 7 communities across the country and more than 15,900 residents, Five Star Senior Living was founded in 2000 and has been in business for 26 years. These communities offer independent living, assisted living, memory care, and respite care services to older adults, helping them maintain as much independence as possible as they age. Led by CEO Jeffrey Leer, Five Star is frequently recognized by the "Best of the Best" Awards from the Assisted Living Federation of America and the American Health Care Association's Quality Awards. 

Five Star communities offer Lifestyle360 programming to residents, enriching their intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Each Five Star community offers at least one Lifestyle360 activity or event each day that will nurture one of these five aspects of well-being. With a mission of "honoring and enriching the journey of life, one experience at a time," Five Star strives to help residents live their best lives and pursue new or lifelong goals. 

As one of the largest senior living providers in the country, and the second in operating continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), Five Star is an Aleris Life company. The Latin "aleris" means to "foster, nourish, and develop," a reflection of their values and approach to senior care. This rebranding was announced in 2022, though the Five Star brand will continue to operate independently, as will its associated Ageility division of rehabilitation clinics. Aleris Life represents the overall portfolio's dedication to expansion as the US population over 65 continues to grow.
